The accreditation of a laboratory as an official acknowledgement of its competence gives the customer, who checks one’s production, an opportunity to choose a reliable testing laboratory that confirmed the ability to render high quality services. The competence of the laboratory is regularly confirmed by the accreditation body to ensure its compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO/IEC 17025.
The award ceremony of the contest “Competence-2014” timed to World Accreditation Day took place on June 9, 2015. The contest was held by the National Accreditation Body (NAB) – Belarusian State Centre for Accreditation (BSCA) Republican Unitary Enterprise among the accredited entities, as well as among specialists in quality management of the accredited laboratories and certification bodies for 2014.
The purpose of the contest was to choose the accredited entities that were able not only to confirm the strict implementation of the requirements imposed by the standard, but also seeking to increase the trust of customers (consumers) by demonstrating their own professionalism, prestige, awareness, credibility in a specific sphere of services, caring about their professional reputation, paying attention to the formation of a positive attitude to the trademark of their organization, finding and using all available means to promote their own services, creating prospects for increasing the professional capacity and financial stability of their organization.
In this regard, it is gratifying to note that the Laboratory of Pharmacopoeial and Pharmaceutical Analysis of the Center for Examinations and Tests in Health Care UE (UP) is recognized as the winner of the contest “Competence-2014” in the field of testing of pharmaceutical, medical and perfumery-cosmetic production.
The recognition by the National Accreditation Body within the framework of this contest is the confirmation of the highest level of organization of the work of the laboratory that, apart from the accreditation in the National System of Accreditation of the Republic of Belarus, in conducting the control by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines and HealthCare (EDQM), confirmed its compliance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 and joined the General European OMCL Network (GEON).
In its turn, the Center for Examinations and Tests in Health Service UE (UP) will continue to take all possible steps to maintain the efficiency of quality management of laboratories as an important component of ensuring the system of safety, efficacy and quality of medicinal products and medical devices in our country.
